“Look closer. You may find something you didn’t see before.”
Aaron is a true South Florida native born and raised in Miami. As a location scout and artist in South Florida’s film industry for over 20 years, It’s safe to say Aaron has seen most of Miami from more angles than just about anyone. Aaron’s medium can be best described as ink painting on photography. This is not “Photoshopping”. He has mastered his own technique combining Ink & sharpie markers, photographic prints, and chemical solvents that dissolve the photo emultion. What makes Aaron’s work so unique is not only the unorthodox use of materials, but the idea of what a photograph can become. Sometimes this can change the meaning of an image. Each photo is its own painting, but combined with other photos, he is able to create a “mosaic” masterpiece. This process was first discovered by Aaron as a happy accident working with office supplies and photographs in 2001. He has since put away his canvas and oil paints to focus on using these less popular materials.
